“My sculptures offer to the viewer endearing elements of my Shona culture – the traditional values of the importance of community, positive and respectful human relationships, the sacredness of life – with the intention to seek, evoke and inspire these same values in their own families and cultures. My sculptures focus on the things that collectively make up the bigger picture – life, love, and the sensation that defines us all. They celebrate love – especially family love, and the spiritual power it provides to promote peace in my art.”
