This vivacious one-of-a-kind orchid inspired brooch is composed of glass cylinder beads in hues of yellow, orange, crimson and raspberry. The intricately constructed glass focal is from the hand of fellow Celebration artist Anthony Barbano; whose technique involves physical vapor deposition of 24k gold and pure silver, hand blown into the glass.
Can be worn as a brooch, hat pin, hair accessory or bag pin. Display it as a glorious piece of art when it’s not being worn (your purchase includes a suede-covered display structure for this purpose.)
Approximately 4 inches long (including stem and clutch closure) x 3.5 inches wide. Sterling plated stem clutch with cap.
This brooch holds its shape beautifully when worn. It is a wonderful example of Diana’s couture-level bead artistry, where glass cylinder beads are woven together one bead at a time using monofilament thread, without the use of any kind of substrate.
